Roy Basnett and I recently got to interview Celebrity Television Actor David Easter who has graced our screens on Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Family Affairs and Brookside to name a few. David opened up to us about his alcohol and drug battle, sexual abuse as child and his suicide attempt. He is now Patron of the Kenward Trust, the rehab that helped him through his recovery. I respect David for his honesty and wish him love and luck for his future.

I am thrilled to be able to mention a new Movie coming to our screens later this year!. Directed by Steve Lawson, “Saltwater: The Battle For Ramree Island” will premiere in the US in June this year and later in the UK. I’ve already been talking to one of the stars of the movie Glenn Salvage who has given me the low down about the movie inspired by actual events during World War 2 off the coast of Burma. A group of soldiers find themselves in dense swampland infested with deadly saltwater Crocodiles!

Sounds Terrifying!!

Thomas is a 30 year old man who suffers from cerebral palsy and receives devastating news that his mother has cancer and loses a very short battle leaving his father to care for Thomas and his other young rebelling 12 year old son. 

Bafta contacted Daniel encouraging him to use the 5 minute film as a pilot to make a feature film. Wow, nice recommendation Bafta! 

Testimonials on the film include Hollywood Actor Michael Masden, heavyweight world champion boxer Tyson Fury and the multi award winning singer Michael Bublé. Thomas is set to be a feature film and Daniel told me about amazing opportunities for businesses to invest and advertise in the movie. The cast line up is awesome although I’ve been sworn to secrecy. The Boss Birds recently interviewed James Mac who calls himself The Wild Welshman, Adventurer and fundraiser and who was also a contestant on Channel 4 program “SAS Who Dares Wins” which is about Five ex special forces soldiers that recreate the SAS’s secret selection process and put 30 men through the ultimate test. 

James told The Boss Birds of the amazing experience and how it’s much harder than it looks on TV. Blimey are you joking, I’m exhausted just watching!  

Unfortunately, James had to exit the program whilst filming in Chile due to his son being born which was definitely the right decision.  

James has raised over 20K for MS Society and spinal research crossing the Arctic. He is extremely passionate about these charities due to his brother being tragically paralysed in a car crash and his father had MS. I think James is awesome. Check him out on Instagram @mrmac.3

From 2007 until 2012, EastEnders fans got to watch the cute and hilarious friendship between Heather and her best friend Shirley Carter, the obsession and super fan of George Michael and the romance with Minty played by Rick Peterson.  

Cheryl spoke to The Boss Birds about her son Alex who lives in Liverpool and adores the city, her instagram lives where she sings for her followers and about the exciting new Television series, she is filming her upcoming role in the brand new TV Comedy “Dodger” CBBC. 

 I cannot wait to see what Cheryl brings to our screen in Dodger and wish her all the success with it.

The second guest I interviewed was Angie Best. Former wife of football legend George Best. Well, what an interview! I had no idea about the exciting life Angie lived in America. She was a model in New York, LA and started being a personal Fitness Trainer coaching Celebrity A listers Shaon Stone, Daryl Hannah and Cher!! OMG.  

Angie went on to tell me how she lived with Super star legend singer and Actress Cher and what an amazing time the pair had partying and living together. Angie now lives in London, has her own gym and a business called “Chill Out Fred” which produces endocannabinoids naturally and they keep our bodies healthy, CBD is known to boost the functioning of the endocannabinoid system. Actress Sherrie Hewson was a fabulous Guest recently on the radio. She starred in the movie “The Slipper And The Rose” with my Godmother Actress Gemma Craven. 

Sherrie has a new online show called “The Wonderbirds” which is the creation of actresses Debbie Arnold, Dee Anderson, Sherrie Hewson and Harriet Thorpe. 

On the eve of lockdown these friends had a zoom call which was so hilarious they decided that they should publish it online. 

They immediately contacted all their celebrity friends to see if they would appear on their new chat show entitled Wonderbirds and the response has been overwhelming. 

In just a few months the show has had over 14 million impressions on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. Watch The Wonderbirds at www.amazingwonderbirds.com 

Another guest on The Boss Birds was young Entrepreneur Charlotte Grant from Liverpool. In 2019 Charlotte contacted The Princess Trust at the age of only 19. She attended a course called Exploring and enterprise and gained a mentor who helped start her own beauty business called “Charlotte Grant Cosmetics”. 

Her signature product “Brow Soap” was launched with remarkable success and sells out incredibly fast. 

Charlotte then launched her coloured lashes in blonde, ginger, brown and rainbow which have become her best seller and is now moving into hair and skin care products.

I have to admit I felt a little starstruck as I was a huge fan of the 1980’s BBC series Hi-De-Hi which Su starred in as the ditzy chalet girl Peggy Ollerenshaw. If you haven’t seen Hi-Di-Hi you may have seen Su Pollard in one of the many stage plays, Musicals, Pantomimes or most recently in Celebrity MasterChef 2021 where Su made the Semi- finals along with contestant Happy Mondays star Bez. 

 
Su told me about her exciting new one-woman hit play called “Harpy ” written by award winning playwright Philip Meeks. The tour kicks off in Portsmouth on 28th September 2021 then moves around the country.

A few weeks ago, I helped organise a 50th Golden Wedding anniversary for my partner’s parents. It was an amazing day and I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely lady called Christine who made the most adorable golden balloon arch for me. It set the scene for a perfect day and I wanted to thank Christine, who is from Liverpool, for helping to make the day special. Christine’s company is called Tillys Treats Balloons. After mingling it was time to take our seats to watch the musical. Disney delivered a magical show full of stunning lighting effects, stage sets which were flown in and out of scenes and big colourful show numbers such as “Be Our Guest” which put the icing on the cake for me.  

The show is everything you expect from Disney. The Beauty And The Beast is on at The Empire theatre until the 16th October.

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and won one an Award.  

Here is looking forward to the 08/10/2022 13th Anniversary of the Liverpool Lifestyle Awards. 

I was honored to be asked to host The Vacient Cosmetic Christmas Shopping event at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel. It was my first time at this beautiful hotel in Liverpool. If you get a chance, you must pay the hotel a visit.  

During the event I found out that I will be flying to Dubai next year with Vacient and celebrity MUA Carla Lawson as part of their billboard international campaign and I will be one of the faces you will see on the UK and International billboards! OMG, how extremely lucky to be asked and experience a Middle East photo shoot.  

Liverpool Christmas Market is well underway on William Brown Street until 23rd December.  

This beautiful market has everything you could wish for to get into the Christmas spirit from scrumptious food and drink, gifts, music, a gigantic snow slide, big wheel, karaoke booths and more.

She told us about being on the Television show  “I’ll do anything” with Andrew Lloyd Webber who was searching for Nancy in the musical “Oliver.” She got down to the final forty two women. Through that show she got spotted by Theatre producers and asked to audition for the understudy for Christine in phantom of the opera. She got the part quit school and started in Phantom in the West end of London. Her parents are Opera singers and have been extremely supportive of her Musical theatre career.  

I was surprised that Katie told us she is a new Mummy to her Eleven month old daughter who is on tour with her. With Eight shows a week Katie is proof that you can juggle a career, have children and tour the country.  

I was invited to the press night of Misérables and I have to say I have never seen a Musical with such an incredible set outside of the West end. The whole show was breath-taking with a standing ovation at the end. 

There are some exciting things happening in the city this February. Simple Red Blue Eyed Tour with special guest Mica Paris comes to the M&S Bank Arena, Chicago the musical at the Empire Theatre and ‘Space, The Universe and Everything,’ is set to transform the inside of Liverpool Cathedral with an extraordinary display of lights, projections and sound.

This dark horror movie is the creation of script writer and actor Daniel P Lewis, directed by the talented Joshua Blewitt and Produced by Chris Parrott. 

The plot is gripping and twisted in all the right ways you would expect a horror movie to be. It features Sharon Byatt who plays bestselling author Elisha Stones, who decides to make a documentary about the ‘The Newton County Killer.’  

Billy Smith played by Daniel P Lewis is the most feared serial killer since Richard Ramirez with close to twenty people falling victim to him, but it is the Melissa Forbes case which sees Billy Smith willingly hand himself in to the authorities.  

This movie had me on the edge of my seat chewing on my newly shellac nails. 

The character Billy Smith is a nasty piece of work and Daniel P Lewis plays the psychopath unnervingly well. The lineup includes Zara Abraham, Keith Hyland, Christian Greenwat, Jodie Barchha Lang. Olivia Sloyan, Amanda Clapham, John May, Tosin Salako and Sean Cronin.

I turned to Glamour Dollz Aesthetics based in Mason Anthony, Hall Lane, Liverpool for a few facial tweaks. I had heard complimentary reviews about Jodie Dever from Glamour Dollz so I went to see her for a lift here and there! OMG her treatments were amazing. Jodie is lovely to her clients and listens to your needs to work her magic. I highly recommend her.
